Therapy in Calgary | Strength-Based Psychologists for Adults & Teens
Rewriting Your Story with Therapy
Every person carries an inner story. Some chapters lift us up, while others weigh us down. At NU Psychology, our Calgary psychologists help you uncover the beliefs that no longer serve you — and re-author your story with compassion, strength, and clarity.
We provide therapy for adults, teens, parents, and couples — in person at our Killarney office and online across Alberta. Our work is strength-based, narrative-informed, and always tailored to your goals.
Who We Support at NU Psychology
Adult Therapy in Calgary
Many adults appear “high-functioning” on the outside — while inside, they feel anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed, or burnt out.
Work, relationships, and day-to-day responsibilities can become heavy when you’re carrying more than people realize.
We help adults with:
Anxiety, panic, and constant overthinking
Depression, emotional numbness, and low motivation
ADHD-related overwhelm, time blindness, or shutdowns
Disordered eating, body shame, or perfectionism
Relationship fatigue, boundary struggles, or separation
Career burnout, identity loss, and major life transitions
Unresolved trauma, attachment wounds, or past experiences that still hurt
At NU Psychology, our focus is on helping you understand your patterns, regain clarity, and move toward a life that feels more grounded and meaningful.
Teen Therapy in Calgary
Many teens look “fine” on the outside—but inside, they may feel overwhelmed, insecure, or unsure how to cope with growing expectations at school, home, and socially.
Our Calgary psychologists support teens who are navigating:
Intense anxiety, panic, or school-related stress
Disordered eating, body image concerns
ADHD-related focus issues, emotional flooding, or shutdowns
Friendship challenges, peer conflict, or social pressure
Identity exploration, self-esteem struggles, or motivation dips
Family conflict, communication breakdowns, or transitions
Unresolved trauma, attachment wounds, or painful experiences
We help teens build confidence, emotional regulation skills, and healthier coping patterns—so they can feel more grounded, capable, and connected.
Couples Counselling in Calgary
Many couples look “solid” from the outside — but behind closed doors, communication feels tense, disconnection grows, and small issues start turning into bigger patterns. Even strong relationships hit seasons where support, clarity, and repair are needed.
We help couples work through:
Communication issues and recurring arguments
Emotional distance, resentment
Trust injuries, betrayal, or attachment wounds
Parenting stress, division of responsibilities, or blended family challenges
Relationship strain or shutdown cycles
Differences in needs, expectations, or conflict styles
Life transitions, career pressures, or changes in intimacy
Our goal is to help both partners feel heard, understood, and supported — rebuilding connection, strengthening communication, and creating a relationship that feels safe, collaborative, and aligned again.
Parent Counselling & Family Support
Parenting can feel overwhelming — even when you’re doing your very best.
We support parents with:
ADHD, autism, OCD, or emotional struggles in children and teens
Power struggles, shutdowns, and sibling conflict
Co-parenting, blended families, and separation
Parenting burnout, guilt, or self-doubt
At NU, we help you build confidence, connection, and calm at home
