What form(s) of payment are accepted?NU Psychology accepts all major credit cards and requires a credit card on file to proceed with services. Should you need to pay via e-transfer or cash please contact office@nupsychology.com ahead of the appointment time to hold your appointment.

What style of therapy does NU Psychology provide?We work with a variety of ages and conditions. This requires a combination of therapeutic techniques as it allows for a tailored approach towards an individuals strengths, goals, and learning style. Individuals tend to benefit most from a combined therapeutic approach, which may involve aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Exposure Therapy.

How much do sessions cost?Sessions are $220 for 50 minutes. Payment is made to NU Psychology, A paid invoice for Psychology services is provided once fees are paid. Please contact your insurance plan provider regarding Psychology coverage limits, coverage, and any other potential limitations. Psychology services are considered a medical expense by Revenue Canada when insurance does not cover expenses.

What happens in a first session?The first session involves gathering information, creating a relationship, and establishing how we can best work together to create healthy changes. Therapy is a dynamic process and evolves with ongoing sessions. Clients can expect to learn more about themselves, process experiences, and learn how to move through challenges to meet their goals.

Does NU Psychology provide online or phone sessions?We are currently offer Telephone or Video sessions for clients who are would prefer to participate in this type of session for their session.
