ABOUT NU PSYCHOLOGY
Helping you start your NU Chapter.
NU Psychology is a dedicated space for teens, adults, couples, and families in Calgary who are looking for support that feels thoughtful, specialized, and genuinely human.
We believe every person carries a story. Sometimes that story feels stuck in anxiety, burnout, trauma, relationship challenges, perfectionism, ADHD, grief, or life transitions. Our role is to help you better understand the patterns shaping your experience and begin creating a new way forward with clarity, confidence, and compassion.
Created as the sister clinic to Creative Sky Psychology , NU was built to provide a dedicated home for adult, teen, couples, and assessment services while maintaining the same commitment to exceptional care.
Every story has a turning point.
OUR STORY
From Creative Sky to NU Psychology.
NU Psychology grew from the belief that teens, adults, parents, and couples need a space that feels like their own — a place focused on growth, resilience, and rewriting life’s next chapters.
Located in Calgary’s Killarney neighbourhood, NU sits right beside our sister clinic, Creative Sky Psychology, but with a distinct mission: to provide specialized care for adults, teens, couples, families, and assessment clients.
Support adults navigating burnout, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges.
Provide affirming care for neurodiverse individuals.
Offer specialized therapy for ADHD, OCD, trauma, EMDR, and eating concerns.
Guide parents and couples through family, relationship, and life transitions.
NU Psychology is here to support anyone ready to step into a new chapter.
MEET OUR FOUNDER: SHANNON KELLY
The Story Behind NU
NU Psychology was created by Shannon Kelly after seeing a growing need for a dedicated space where teens, adults, couples, and families could access specialized psychological support.
As Creative Sky Psychology expanded, it became clear that many clients were looking for a clinic designed specifically around adult and teen mental health, relationship support, assessments, and personal growth. NU Psychology was created to meet that need while maintaining the same commitment to exceptional care.
What began as a vision for a more specialized adult-focused clinic has grown into a team of psychologists with advanced training across ADHD, anxiety, OCD, trauma, EMDR, eating disorders, neurodiversity, relationships, and assessments. Every member of the NU team brings unique expertise while sharing the same belief that meaningful change is possible.
Today, NU Psychology continues to grow with one purpose in mind: helping people better understand their stories, reconnect with their strengths, and move toward a future that feels more aligned with who they want to become.
